Shrub or tree, 1.5-15 m. Leaves ± orbicular to ovate-orbicular, 7-12.5 X 5.6-7.7 cm, 1.2-1.5 x as long as broad, apex rounded to slightly retuse, base cordate, lower surface glabrous; petioles stout, 2.5-3.5 cm, glabrous. Inflorescence 10-17-flowered; rhachis up to 17 mm; pedicels 35-40 mm, slender, glabrous above, minutely glandular below. Calyx c. 0.5 mm, lobes rounded, glabrous. Corolla 7-lobed, campanulate, glabrous, rose-pink, without flecks, 35-40 mm. Stamens 14, filaments glabrous. Ovary stipitate-glandular; style glabrous.
